Sound policies are of little value if they are not implemented properly. The aim of this workshop is to give participants a comprehensive introduction to the mechanics of effective implementation of policies, project
This workshop answers the four basic questions of effective implementation:
Why are we setting out to implement this policy; in other words, what is the intention of the policy framework guiding a program and how does a proper understanding of intentions shape how a program can be implemented?
What is the program or project actually going to do, for whom and for how long, and what are the various options available?
Who is going to deliver the program on the ground and how do they ensure there are more supporters than opponents of the program?
How do they make sure all the bases have been covered and what are the various steps they have to complete to get the wheels on the machine turning?
This full day workshop will draw upon a wealth of practical examples from government, business and the community sector to illustrate the principles taught.
