Building on the one-day Essential Management Skills Workshop, this three-day workshop explores the key management issues and core management practices in more depth to further enhance management skills.

Day one: Leadership and Emotional Intelligence

Day one takes a hands-on and interactive approach to developing managerial strengths and natural leadership abilities. It involves identifying management and leadership styles through

self-assessment and experiential methods.

The course will focus on tools that deliver change in the workplace.

Day Two: Managing people, performance and conflict

 

Day two extends on the frameworks and experiences from day one by offering tools and techniques to manage people more effectively. Participants will have the opportunity to analyse and develop their management skills across a range of dimensions including advanced conflict management skills, negotiation skills and performance measurement.

Day Three: Developing strategy and structure

Day three provides an opportunity for participants to link the material from day one and two to identify key actions from the past and to develop a future action plan. This process will consider a range of possible structures to enable this action plan to be implemented and reviewed. Participants will have the option to apply the concepts and frameworks to their actual workplace situation. The workshop will be interactive and will use case studies, role plays and experiential activities to apply frameworks relating to strategy and structure.
